Free Standard Delivery Is available for most areas in mainland UK and is carried out by a third-party courier service. Please note that additional charges may apply to some locations, including Scotland and Wales. Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout when applicable.
Standard Delivery typically takes between 2-5 working days, as indicated on the individual product page. You can also book specific delivery dates and times using our calendar available on the checkout shipping page.
This is a signed for service and someone must be available to receive the goods.
Express, next-day, and Saturday delivery options are available for certain products and can be selected during the checkout process. Additional charges will apply, which will be calculated at checkout.
All Deliveries are kerbside only and are carried out by a third-party haulage company using a large lorry equipped with a tail-lift and manual pump truck (not a Hiab Crane).
Please inform us of potential access issues, such as narrow roads, small cul-de-sacs, low bridges, or weight limits. The minimum size of the standard lorry used for delivery is 18 tonnes.
Receiving the goods
Once you receive the goods, we kindly ask you to check for any visible damages and report them to us immediately at support@naturalpavingstore.co.uk. You will then have 72 hours to conduct a thorough inspection of your order. Please do not begin installation until any issues have been resolved.
Cut off time for same day dispatch is 11am.
Order cancellations.
Any orders received after 3 PM can be cancelled or amended on the same day without any charge. Orders placed before 3 PM will already be in our dispatch system and may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please refer to our returns policy for more information.
Once an order has been dispatched and left our yard or warehouse, it cannot be cancelled, and our standard returns policy will apply.
Returns
You must notify us within 14 days from the delivery date if you wish to return your order. We accept returns for full, unopened crates or unopened accessories during this period. However, made-to-measure orders, split packs, loose slabs, and clearance items are non-returnable.
We offer split packs for all types of paving, including porcelain, sandstone, slate, and granite. This allows you to purchase only the specific amount you need, avoiding the waste associated with buying a full pack.
We strongly recommend adding an allowance of 10% extra coverage to account for cuts, breakages, and spares when ordering our split packs.
Please note that with our mixed packs, we can only split by square meter, not by individual slab sizes.
Delivery costs for split packs are the same as those for full packs, regardless of the quantity ordered. Any delivery fees will be calculated at checkout.
To facilitate a seamless and secure shipping process, a handling and packing fee of £85.00 will be applied at checkout. This fee is essential as it covers the necessary procedures of unpacking the items from the original crate, re-packaging them onto a new pallet, and ensuring they are securely wrapped for dispatch.
Payment options.
We accept most major credit and debit cards, including American Express. All payments are processed through our online STRIPE system at the end of your ordering process.
We also offer PayPal services, including the option to pay in three monthly installments.
To enhance security, if you place an order by phone, an invoice will be sent to your email address for payment completion.
Measurement
Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.
Add 10% Extra
The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.
Minimum Order
We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.
Coverage
The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the ‘Specification’ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.
Cut of times
For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Large Orders
Our website showcases all current promotions and discounts, reflecting our commitment to providing the best prices possible. For larger orders, we invite you to call us at 01329 238150, where our dedicated team may be able to offer additional savings.
Samples
We provide a sample service for all our paving products, allowing you to experience the materials before placing an order. You can find this option at the bottom of each product page or on our dedicated samples page.
Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.
Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the ‘batch colour code’ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.
While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isn’t guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.

**Important Considerations**
All the photos provided are for reference purposes, showcasing the colours, patterns, and tones of the sandstone when the paving has been fully installed. These images may depict the sandstone in various conditions, including when wet, dry, or sealed with an enhanced natural stone sealer. It’s important to note that sandstone appears more vibrant when wet and lighter in pastel tones when dry. Different lighting conditions may also affect images. We offer a sample service, or you can call our expert team on 01329 238150 for further information.
Please note that sandstone is a natural material sourced from large quarries. While we strive to give an indication of the tones and colours in each pack, we cannot guarantee the exact quantity or variation of each colour, as this may differ from pack to pack.
When the sandstone paving arrives, it may look dusty and pale, with minimal colour variation. It is recommended to unpack the paving and wet it down to reveal the true colour variations. This process will help achieve a random colour effect throughout your patio, avoiding the placement of too many similar tones in one area. Due to its natural composition, you cannot select specific amounts of certain tones; this randomness is a key aspect of the beauty of natural stone.
Sandstone is very porous, and once laid, washed, and jointed, it will begin to weather. This is when the stone’s colour variations will start to come to life. It is advisable to seal the sandstone paving after a short period. Certain sealers can enhance the colour tone and provide a more “wet” look, while others maintain a natural dry appearance; the choice depends on personal preference.
Classic Design & Natural Colours:
Natural stone paving circles are available in a range of colours and finishes, from soft greys and creams to rich browns and earthy tones. This variety allows homeowners and landscapers to create unique, eye-catching patterns that complement both traditional and contemporary garden designs.
Premium, Textured Finish:
Each stone is carefully selected for colour, texture, and shape to ensure a harmonious and balanced finish. The natural surface, whether flamed, honed, or sawn, enhances the beauty of the stone and creates a tactile, elegant look. Paving circles provide a visually striking alternative to linear or rectangular layouts, offering a central feature or decorative pattern for patios, courtyards, or pathways.
Natural stone paving circles are renowned for their strength and longevity. Each stone is dense and hard-wearing, able to withstand the rigours of the UK climate, including frost, rain, and temperature fluctuations. Resistant to fading, chipping, and general wear, these paving circles provide a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution for both residential and commercial landscaping.
With correct installation on a stable base, natural stone circles are suitable for high-traffic areas, garden patios, driveways, and courtyards, offering durability without compromising on style.
The natural texture of stone paving circles provides excellent slip resistance, making them safe for use around patios, pathways, pool surrounds, and wet areas. This inherent grip ensures that paving circles are suitable for family-friendly outdoor spaces and commercial environments alike.
Natural stone paving circles require minimal maintenance to retain their beauty. Regular sweeping and occasional washing with warm water and a mild detergent are sufficient to keep the surface clean. Unlike some other materials, natural stone does not require frequent sealing, although applying a natural stone sealant can enhance its durability and protect against stains, moss, and algae.
While natural stone paving may have a higher initial cost than concrete or manufactured alternatives, its durability, timeless appearance, and low maintenance requirements make it a cost-effective investment. Natural stone retains its texture, colour, and strength year after year, ensuring your paving circles continue to enhance your garden or patio for decades.
Natural stone paving circles are highly versatile and ideal for creating focal points or decorative features in:
Garden patios and terraces
Courtyards and outdoor dining areas
Pool surrounds and water features
Walkways and pathways
Driveways and landscaped gardens
With their elegant finish, durability, and unique design, natural stone paving circles provide a premium, eye-catching feature that elevates the look of any outdoor space.
– Absorption: Some types of sandstone can be porous, meaning they may absorb moisture, oils, and stains. Sealing your sandstone can help mitigate this and maintain its pristine appearance.
– Softness: Sandstone is softer than other paving stones like granite, so it can be scratched or chipped more easily. While still durable for most residential uses, it’s advisable to avoid heavy vehicular traffic or high-impact activities.
In summary, sandstone paving is an excellent option if you’re looking for a durable, aesthetically pleasing, and relatively affordable paving solution with a natural appearance. Just be mindful of its maintenance needs and the environment in which it’s installed.

To ensure your project runs smoothly, there are several important considerations to keep in mind when your paving arrives and during its installation.
When your paving order arrives, it’s normal for the slabs to appear dusty and grey. Natural Indian Sandstone is typically very pale and pastel in tone, which can make it look dull and grey, unlike the pictures you see on our website. Don’t worry; this is perfectly normal! To better identify the colours, we recommend wetting down the surface of the slabs before installation. This will enhance the colour variation and help you see the different tones, allowing you to create a more even colour palette throughout your paving area.
Each crate of slabs is randomly selected and may not contain an even colour distribution. Therefore, if you are ordering multiple pallets, we advise taking slabs from each pallet during installation for the best results. As sandstone is very porous, it will absorb moisture, and over time, the colours will become more vibrant.
We also recommend ordering all the paving for the same area at the same time, even if you plan to install it over an extended period. This ensures a good blend of colours. Natural stone is unique and not batch-coded, so any paving purchased later may not come from the same quarry or section of the quarry, leading to noticeable colour variations compared to your existing patio. If you are adding to an existing natural stone patio, please contact us and send us some images. We can help you find a suitable match.
Installing a natural stone paving circle is a fantastic way to create a visually striking focal point in your garden, patio, or courtyard. The process begins with careful planning of the layout. Determine the location and size of your circle, and mark the area using stakes, string, or a garden hose to outline the desired shape. For larger projects, creating a cardboard template or mock-up can help you visualise the final design and ensure accurate placement of each stone.
A stable, well-prepared base is essential for a long-lasting sandstone paving circle. Excavate the area to a depth, depending on expected traffic. Spread a layer of compacted crushed stone or MOT Type 1 hardcore to provide stability. Over this, add a bedding layer of sharp sand or a sand-cement mix and level carefully. It’s important to slope the base slightly away from buildings to ensure proper drainage and prevent water pooling on the finished surface.
Before laying your sandstone circle, it is recommended to dry-lay the slabs to check the pattern, spacing, and alignment. When you are ready for installation, each slab should be coated on the underside with an SBR bonding agent or priming slurry. This step is essential for sandstone because it increases adhesion, prevents the slabs from lifting, and reduces the risk of natural salts rising through the stone, which can cause staining or discolouration. Once primed, begin laying the circle from the centre outward, gently tapping each slab into place with a rubber mallet and checking levels frequently for a smooth, even finish. If cutting is required, always use a wet diamond-tipped cutter to achieve clean, precise edges.
After the slabs are securely laid, fill the joints using a natural stone–compatible jointing compound, resin grout, or kiln-dried sand, depending on your preferred finish. Brush off any excess material to avoid staining and allow the joints to set properly. For added protection, sealing your sandstone paving circle approximately 12 weeks after installation is highly recommended. This helps enrich the colour, reduce moisture absorption, and prevent the growth of moss, algae, and mould.
Maintaining a stone paving circle is simple and low-effort. Regular sweeping will prevent debris buildup, while occasional washing with warm water and a mild detergent will keep the stone looking fresh. Avoid acidic or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage natural stone. Over time, check the joints and reapply compound if needed to ensure long-term stability. By following these steps and using the correct installation materials like SBR, your sandstone paving circle will remain durable, secure, and visually stunning for many years.

Laying a patio can be messy, so it’s crucial to take care when installing the slabs to avoid any staining, sheet down and board down where possible. If you notice any residue on the slabs during installation, clean it off as soon as possible. Substances like wet cement can be much harder to remove once they dry. Remember, anything that remains on the surface of a slab can seep into the stone and cause stains. Avoid using acid-based products for cleaning.
Natural stone is porous and will absorb liquids from anything left on its surface. Wet leaves, bird droppings, and moss can all create stains, and once these substances penetrate the stone, removing the stains can be very challenging.
It is recommended to seal sandstone paving to help prevent staining. Sealing also prevents excess moisture from building up within the natural stone, which can help avoid frost damage as well as the growth of moss, mould, and algae. You should seal your paving approximately 12 weeks after installation to allow enough time for the drying process to complete. If sealing is done before six to nine months, only a breathable sealer should be used.
As part of the drying process, you may notice efflorescence, which is a white or light grey powdery substance that can appear on the surface of natural stone, especially in damp or humid conditions. This is caused by natural salts and minerals coming to the surface of the slabs. Although it may look unsightly, efflorescence will not affect the structural integrity of the stone. This process usually happens within the first three to six months.
Natural stone requires annual maintenance. Using specific natural stone cleaners and black spot removers can help prolong the life of your patio. Over time, you may need to grind out the joints and redo the jointing to refresh the appearance of the patio.
