ย
Returns
You must notify us within 14 days from the delivery date if you wish to return your order. We accept returns for full, unopened crates or unopened accessories during this period. However, made-to-measure orders, split packs, loose slabs, and clearance items are non-returnable.
ย
We offer split packs for all types of paving, including porcelain, sandstone, slate, and granite. This allows you to purchase only the specific amount you need, avoiding the waste associated with buying a full pack.
ย
We strongly recommend adding an allowance of 10% extra coverage to account for cuts, breakages, and spares when ordering our split packs.
ย
Please note that with our mixed packs, we can only split by square meter, not by individual slab sizes.
ย
Delivery costs for split packs are the same as those for full packs, regardless of the quantity ordered. Any delivery fees will be calculated at checkout.
ย
To facilitate a seamless and secure shipping process, a handling and packing fee of ยฃ85.00 will be applied at checkout. This fee is essential as it covers the necessary procedures of unpacking the items from the original crate, re-packaging them onto a new pallet, and ensuring they are securely wrapped for dispatch.
Payment options.
We accept most major credit and debit cards, including American Express. All payments are processed through our online STRIPE system at the end of your ordering process.
ย
We also offer PayPal services, including the option to pay in three monthly installments.
ย
To enhance security, if you place an order by phone, an invoice will be sent to your email address for payment completion.
Measurement
Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.
Add 10% Extra
The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.
Minimum Order
We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.
Coverage
The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the ‘Specification’ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.
Cut of times
For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Large Orders
Our website showcases all current promotions and discounts, reflecting our commitment to providing the best prices possible. For larger orders, we invite you to call us at 01329 238150, where our dedicated team may be able to offer additional savings.
Samples
We provide a sample service for all our paving products, allowing you to experience the materials before placing an order. You can find this option at the bottom of each product page or on our dedicated samples page.
Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.ย
ย
Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the โbatch colour codeโ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.
ย
While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isnโt guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.

Sealing is optional but can enhance colour tones and provide additional protection against moss, algae, and frost damage.

They offer a low-maintenance, eco-friendly solution that enhances the aesthetic and functional value of your outdoor space. When your paving order arrives, itโs normal for the slabs to appear dusty and grey. Natural Indian Sandstone is typically very pale and pastel in tone, which can make it look dull and grey, unlike the pictures you see on our website. Donโt worry; this is perfectly normal! To better identify the colours, we recommend wetting down the surface of the slabs before installation. This will enhance the colour variation and help you see the different tones, allowing you to create a more even colour palette throughout your paving area.
Each crate of slabs is randomly selected and may not contain an even colour distribution. Therefore, if you are ordering multiple pallets, we advise taking slabs from each pallet during installation for the best results. As sandstone is very porous, it will absorb moisture, and over time, the colours will become more vibrant.
We also recommend ordering all the paving for the same area at the same time, even if you plan to install it over an extended period. This ensures a good blend of colours. Natural stone is unique and not batch-coded, so any paving purchased later may not come from the same quarry or section of the quarry, leading to noticeable colour variations compared to your existing patio. If you are adding to an existing natural stone patio, please contact us and send us some images. We can help you find a suitable match.
When installing natural stone, it is advisable to use a priming slurry, SBR, or preferably both. These should be applied to the back of the slabs before installation. Apply the SBR to the back of the slab and allow it to dry. This creates a protective barrier that reduces moisture absorption, helping to prevent efflorescence and minimise staining from the base. Additionally, a priming slurry should be applied across the entire underside of the slab to improve adhesion to the base. This ensures full contact, reducing gaps that can cause mirror staining, which appears as white marks on the slabโs surface. Mirror staining is difficult to remove and can be unsightly; using the correct installation techniques will help prevent this from happening.
Installing Sandstone Walling Bricksย
Creating a stunning garden or retaining wall with natural sandstone walling bricks requires careful preparation and proper techniques to ensure a durable and visually appealing finish. Follow these steps for a professional result:
Before laying your sandstone bricks, ensure the foundation is level, stable, and well-compacted. For free-standing or retaining walls, dig a trench below frost level and fill it with a layer of compacted hardcore or gravel. This provides a solid base, preventing movement and settling over time.
Start with the first layer of bricks, as this sets the alignment for the entire wall. Use a spirit level to ensure the bricks are straight and level. Sandstone walling bricks may have natural variations in size and shape, so slight adjustments may be necessary to achieve a uniform appearance.
Use a high-quality masonry mortar suitable for natural stone. Apply mortar evenly to the base and between each brick, ensuring full contact for stability. Avoid excessive mortar on the surface of the bricks to maintain a clean finish.
For structural strength and a natural look, stagger the vertical joints between bricks, similar to a traditional brickwork pattern. This helps distribute weight evenly and enhances the wallโs durability.
Some areas may require cutting bricks to fit corners or edges. Use a diamond-tipped masonry blade or stone splitter for precise cuts, taking care to avoid chipping or damaging the brick surface.
Once the wall reaches the desired height, tool the mortar joints for a neat finish. Remove any excess mortar immediately to prevent staining the sandstone. For added protection and enhanced colour, consider applying a stone sealer once the mortar has fully cured.
โ
Use a stable, level foundation to prevent settling
โ
Check alignment with a spirit level regularly
โ
Stagger vertical joints for strength and stability
โ
Cut carefully with the right tools for clean edges
โ
Seal the wall after installation to enhance colour and protect against weather
By following these steps, your sandstone walling bricks will create a durable, attractive, and timeless feature in your garden or landscaping project. Proper installation ensures your wall retains its beauty and structural integrity for years to come.
Maintaining Sandstone Walling Bricks โ Tips for Longevity and Beauty
Sandstone walling bricks are a durable and visually appealing choice for gardens, retaining walls, and landscaping features. Proper maintenance ensures your walls remain strong, clean, and beautiful for many years.
Sandstone is naturally textured and can accumulate dirt, dust, moss, or algae over time. Clean your wall periodically using:
Mild detergent and water: Scrub gently with a soft brush to remove surface dirt.
Avoid acidic or harsh cleaners: These can damage the stone or alter its natural colour.
For stubborn moss or algae, a diluted solution of stone-safe cleaner is recommended.
Although sandstone is durable, it is porous and can absorb moisture, leading to staining or frost damage. Applying a stone sealer after installation and periodically thereafter helps:
Prevent water penetration
Reduce moss, mould, and algae growth
Enhance natural colour and texture
Choose a sealer that suits your preferred finishโeither natural or โwet-look.โ
Regularly check your walls for:
Loose or cracked bricks
Damaged mortar joints
Signs of efflorescence (white mineral deposits)
Addressing minor repairs early prevents larger structural issues and preserves the appearance of your sandstone wall.
Winter: Ensure the wall is well-drained to prevent frost damage.
Spring & Autumn: Remove accumulated leaves, dirt, or plant debris to reduce staining.
โ
Clean gently with mild detergent and water
โ
Avoid acidic or harsh chemicals
โ
Seal periodically to protect against moisture and stains
โ
Inspect for cracks, loose bricks, or damaged mortar
โ
Remove moss, algae, or debris regularly
By following these simple steps, your sandstone walling bricks will maintain their natural beauty, strength, and rustic charm for decades, creating a stunning feature in your garden or landscaping project.
