Batch information

Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.

Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the โ€˜batch colour codeโ€™ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.

While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isnโ€™t guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.

Split packs
Split Packs Available

We offer split packs on selected paving products, including natural stone paving (sandstone, Limestone, slate, granite) and our best-selling 600×900 porcelain paving. This allows you to order the exact square metre coverage you need, helping you avoid the cost and waste of buying a full pack.

This option is ideal forย smaller projects, patios, pathways, or topping up an existing order.

Please note:

  • Split packs are available onย selected products only
  • Mixed-size porcelain paving packs cannot be split
  • Delivery is included in the product price
  • Orders areย securely repacked onto pallets for safe UK delivery
Ordering Advice

When calculating how much paving you need, we recommend addingย 10% extra coverageย to allow forย cuts, breakages, and spare slabsย during installation.

Mixed-size project packs can only beย split by square metre, not by individual slab sizes.

Why Customers Choose Split Packs

โœ”ย Buy only what you need โ€“ no full pack required
โœ”ย Perfect for small patios, garden paths, and extensions
โœ”ย Secure pallet delivery included

Help & advice

Measurement

Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.

Add 10% Extra

The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.

Minimum Order

We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.

Coverage

The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the โ€˜Specificationโ€™ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.

Cut of times

For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Large Orders

Our website showcases all current promotions and discounts, reflecting our commitment to providing the best prices possible. For larger orders, we invite you to call us at 01329 774989, where our dedicated team may be able to offer additional savings.

Featuring a textured flamed surface and elegant silver-grey tones, these granite setts are ideal for creating premium driveways, patios, pathways, courtyards, and edging details that stand the test of time.

Premium Natural Granite Cobble Setts

Granite is one of the hardest and most durable natural stones available, making it an excellent choice for high-traffic outdoor areas. Each cobble sett is precision-cut for improved consistency while maintaining the authentic texture and natural variation that make granite so desirable.

The lightly textured flamed finish not only enhances the appearance of the stone but also improves grip underfoot, helping create a safe and practical surface for outdoor use.

Whether used for a traditional cobbled driveway or modern landscape edging, Silver Granite setts deliver a premium and long-lasting finish.

Key Benefits of Silver Granite Cobble Setts

โœ… Extremely Durable & Hard-Wearing
โœ… Suitable for Driveways & Heavy Traffic Areas
โœ… Natural Textured Anti-Slip Surface
โœ… Frost, Weather & Impact Resistant
โœ… Low Maintenance & Easy to Clean
โœ… Timeless Silver & Grey Granite Tones
โœ… Suitable for Traditional & Contemporary Landscapes

1. Elegant Natural Appearance

Contemporary Silver-Grey Tones

Silver Granite cobble setts feature a balanced mix of soft silver, mid-grey, and subtle charcoal tones, creating a sophisticated natural appearance that complements a wide range of outdoor designs.

Their versatile colouring works beautifully alongside:

  • Porcelain paving
  • Natural sandstone
  • Resin driveways
  • Brickwork
  • Modern garden landscaping

The natural variation between each sett helps create a more authentic and visually appealing finish.

Textured Granite Surface

The flamed textured finish enhances the stoneโ€™s natural grain while adding depth and character to the surface. This process creates a lightly textured anti-slip finish ideal for outdoor paving applications.

2. Exceptional Strength & Durability

Granite cobbles are renowned for their incredible density and strength. Unlike softer paving materials, granite is highly resistant to:

  • Cracking
  • Chipping
  • Scratching
  • Wear from vehicle traffic
  • Frost and temperature changes

This makes Silver Granite cobble setts particularly suitable for:

  • Driveways
  • Vehicle access areas
  • Public walkways
  • Commercial projects
  • High-use patios and pathways

When installed correctly, granite setts can last for decades with very little maintenance.

3. Slip Resistance & Safety

The naturally textured surface of Silver Granite cobbles provides excellent grip underfoot, making them suitable for wet and high-traffic areas.

Their anti-slip properties make them ideal for:

  • Driveways
  • Pathways
  • Courtyards
  • Pool surrounds
  • Garden steps and entrances

This combination of safety and durability makes granite one of the most practical natural paving materials available.

4. Low Maintenance & Long-Term Value

One of the biggest advantages of granite paving is its low-maintenance nature. Graniteโ€™s dense composition helps resist:

  • Water absorption
  • Moss and algae growth
  • Staining
  • Surface wear

Routine maintenance is simple and usually requires only occasional sweeping and washing.

Although natural granite may have a higher initial cost compared to some paving materials, its exceptional lifespan and minimal upkeep make it a highly cost-effective long-term investment.

5. Sustainable Natural Stone

Granite is a natural material with a long usable lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacement. Its durability and longevity make it a sustainable option for landscaping and paving projects.

Responsibly sourced natural stone also offers a more environmentally conscious alternative to many manufactured paving products.

6. Popular Applications

Silver Granite cobble setts are suitable for a wide variety of landscaping and paving applications, including:

  • Driveways & vehicle access areas
  • Garden pathways
  • Courtyards & patios
  • Edging & borders
  • Outdoor seating areas
  • Commercial landscaping
  • Steps & entranceways

Their compact format makes them particularly effective for curved edges, decorative features, and detailed paving designs.

Why Choose Silver Granite Cobble Setts?

Silver Granite cobble setts combine timeless natural beauty with exceptional durability, making them one of the best choices for premium outdoor paving. Their elegant silver-grey tones, textured finish, and long-lasting performance make them ideal for driveways, patios, pathways, and modern landscaping projects.

Installing Granite Cobble Setts โ€“ Professional Tips for a Durable, Beautiful Finish

Installing granite cobble setts requires careful preparation and attention to detail to achieve a long-lasting, visually striking finish. By following the right techniques, you can ensure your cobble driveway, patio, or pathway is both durable and low-maintenance.

1. Preparing Your Granite Cobble Setts

When your granite cobbles arrive, they may appear dusty or slightly dull. This is completely normal and does not indicate a defect. Lightly wetting the surface of the cobbles before installation can help reveal their natural colours and subtle variables, ensuring a more vibrant and consistent look across your project.

If your order comes on multiple pallets, mix cobbles from each pallet during installation. This prevents noticeable colour bands and creates a balanced, natural appearance for the entire paved area.

2. Using a Priming Slurry for Strong Adhesion

For long-lasting stability, apply a priming slurry (SBR or suitable primer) to the underside of each cobble. This forms a protective layer between the stone and the mortar or bedding base, preventing natural salts and minerals from leaching through over time. Priming ensures your cobbles stay firmly in place and maintain their durability for decades.

3. Cutting Granite Cobble Setts

To achieve precise edges around borders, corners, or obstacles, use a diamond-tipped blade with a suitable stone-cutting tool. Cut slowly and carefully to minimize the risk of chipping or cracking, ensuring professional-looking joints and a smooth, clean finish.

4. Jointing Your Cobble Surface

For stable, long-lasting joints, use an all-weather brush-in jointing compound. This modern alternative to traditional sand provides excellent stability and prevents movement between the setts. Avoid acid-based cleaners after installation, as they can damage granite surfaces. For regular cleaning, simply use water or a pH-neutral detergent to maintain the natural beauty of your cobbles.

5. Key Tips for a Beautiful, Long-Lasting Granite Cobble Surface

โœ… Lightly wet cobbles before installation to enhance their natural colour.
โœ… Mix cobbles from multiple pallets for even colour distribution.
โœ… Apply a priming slurry to the underside of each sett for adhesion and protection.
โœ… Cut carefully with a diamond-tipped blade for precise edges.
โœ… Use all-weather brush-in jointing compound for stable, durable joints.
โœ… Avoid acidic cleaners to protect the graniteโ€™s surface.

Caring for Your Granite Cobble Setts โ€“ Cleaning, Sealing, and Maintenance Tips

Installing granite cobble setts can be a messy process, so itโ€™s important to take care during installation to prevent staining. Any residue such as wet mortar, cement, or debris should be cleaned immediately. Once dried, these substances can be difficult to remove and may leave marks on the granite surface.

Granite is naturally dense and less porous than other stones, but it can still absorb dirt, organic matter, or moisture if left untreated. Spills, wet leaves, moss, or bird droppings can all cause staining over time. To protect your cobbles, it is recommended to seal them approximately 12 weeks after installation. Sealing helps prevent moisture penetration, reduces the risk of frost damage, and inhibits moss, mould, and algae growth.

During the curing and drying period, you may notice efflorescence, which appears as a white or light grey powder on the surface. This occurs when natural salts within the granite are drawn to the surface, particularly in damp or humid conditions. While it can look unsightly, efflorescence does not compromise the strength or durability of your cobble setts.

By following these simple steps, your granite cobble driveway, patio, or pathway will remain clean, durable, and visually appealing for many years.
